“The man who makes a success of an important venture never wails for the crowd. He strikes out for himself. It takes nerve, it takes a great lot of grit; but the man that succeeds has both. Anyone can fail. The public admires the man who has enough confidence in himself to take a chance. These chances are the main things after all. The man who tries to succeed must expect to be criticized. Nothing important was ever done but the greater number consulted previously doubted the possibility. Success is the accomplishment of that which most people think can't be done.”

Is a summary of what I learnt from my father Late Shri Durga Dass Sharma an Ex Army officer/ a social worker and founder of the Society.

It is very important to succeed in your field and life but most important is giving back to the society. This comes by training based on values and ethics. Keeping his vision in mind together with the guidance of honorable members of the society we started IIT-T Jammu with a clear Vision of training the students of our state not only exceptionally well in their field but train them as better human beings who can proudly represent our state/Country in any part of the world.

It is commitment of the Management of ITT-T Jammu and Shri Durga Dass Memorial Society to  put their best efforts to provide world class training to the students of ITT-T Jammu and help them achieve their goals in life as best professionals in their field.
